As reported yesterday, Maren Ade's comedy Toni Erdmann has charmed the critics at Cannes. The German filmmaker's Palme d'Or competitor has drawn raves from attendees, and is being tipped for major awards success. Only releases in Germany and France, both later this summer, have been confirmed at present, though expect a healthy international run later this year, perhaps into 2017. The above trailer is in German with French subtitles, though there are English-subtitled versions available elsewhere on the internet.
