When a Palme d'Or contender suddenly becomes a potential hot ticket for the Screenplay award, you know something's gone wrong somewhere. Among the most fervently-anticipated English-language-from-foreign-directors films competing in the main selection at Cannes this year, Joachim Trier's Louder Than Bombs hasn't quite gone off with the expected bang.
