Today, the 11th of December, the HFPA announced its nominees for the 2015 Golden Globe awards. Among the choices was the usual selection of the expected and the unexpected. We discovered that the group had definitely seen, and liked, Ava DuVernay's Selma, as it picked up four nominations, though not as much as Birdman, which scored a total of seven, putting it ahead of all other nominated films. That's fairly rare for a film competing as a comedy at the Globes. Last-minute campaigns for films like Cake and Maps to the Stars brought about nominations for their leads (Maps' Julianne Moore is also nominated for Still Alice), while CBS Films' Pride scores again with a Best Picture nomination, following its success at the BIFAs on Sunday night. The awards ceremony will take place on the 11th of January. Here are all the nominees:
