My mum loves this book. With a recently-announced AFM premiere and a BAFTA-qualifying release in the UK (23rd of January), you can bet the Weinsteins are going to sneak this into the 2014 Oscar race soon with a US release date. They've played Suite Francaise so quietly that basically no-one's been discussing it until now - even Selma has generated more buzz, and it hasn't even produced a trailer yet. Saul Dibb's film stars Michelle Williams, Kristin Scott Thomas, Ruth Wilson (Oscar, plz) and Matthias Schoenaerts and yet another terrific accent. Move over Meryl.
