Mohsen Makhmalbaf hasn't made a big splash, even on the festival circuit, for a few years, but The President looks set to correct that. Venice 2014's official Horizons opener, what few reviews there have thus far been for his Georgian satire have been mixed, though commercial prospects have been noted as being strong.
