KARLOVY VARY FEST WINNERS

Do forgive me. This never popped up on my radar, and I kept thinking it would and kept forgetting to look it up and let time run away with my lethargic procrastination. I guess the problem's with my radar. Standard. The Karlovy Vary Film Festival capped off its 49th edition last month with an awards ceremony that saw the Crystal Globe go to George Ovashvili's interesting-looking Corn Island, and a Special Jury Prize plus the Best Director award to one of my favourites, Hungarian filmmaker Gyorgy Palfi for Free Fall. Full list of winners below.
