Ewan McGregor plays a former high school athlete in American Pastoral, who marries a beauty queen played by Jennifer Connelly. Their perfect American life is shaken when their daughter becomes a revolutionary when the Vietnam War breaks out. Dakota Fanning has just signed on to play the role of said daughter in the drama, which is set to be directed by Philip Noyce. It's based on Philip Roth's Pulitzer Prize winning novel. Filming isn't set to get underway until March.
