The 2014 New York Film Festival will open with David Fincher's Gone Girl. Last year's fest opened with Paul Greengrass' Captain Phillips, which went on to score six Oscar nominations. Gone Girl is one of the most hotly-anticipated films of the year, with a typically excellent promotional campaign underway from Fincher. NYFF 2014 begins on the 26th of September and finishes on the 12th of October.
