MAPS TO THE STARS DWARFS THE COMPETITION AT CANNES

Rare for such a polarising film to draw unanimously strong responses from critics, but that seems to be the case with David Cronenberg's Maps to the Stars. These reports seem to place it up there alongside Mike Leigh's Mr. Turner as among the best-reviewed competition entries at Cannes thus far at the festival. Here are reviews from Peter Bradshaw in The Guardian, Michael Phillips in The Chicago Tribune, Todd McCarthy in The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Debruge in Variety, Robbie Collin in The Telegraph, Eric Kohn in IndieWire and Oliver Lyttleton in The Playlist.
