LEVIATHAN SWIMS TO SUCCESS AT CANNES

It's an ambitious director who names their film Leviathan, though few would argue that Andrei Zvyagintsev is anything but, nor unjustly so. In line with several other Cannes competition titles this year, Leviathan is being touted as a Palme d'Or contender of the highest order by critics at the festival. I, for one, wouldn't be at all disappointed to see so accomplished a director take the prize. Reviews from Eric Kohn in IndieWire, Peter Bradshaw in The Guardian, Peter Debruge in Variety, Jake Howell in Movie City News, Michael Phillips in The Chicago Tribune, Leslie Felperin in The Hollywood Reporter and Oliver Lyttleton in The Playlist.
