AT CANNES, CRITICS FLOCK TO WISEMAN'S NATIONAL GALLERY

It ought to come as no surprise that legendary American director Frederick Wiseman's portrait of legendary British institution the National Gallery is receiving rave reviews at Cannes. In cumulation, they perhaps rank as some of the strongest of the festival yet. Here's what some of the critics in attendance at the festival have had to say on it: Isabel Stevens in Sight & Sound, Budd Wilkins in The House Next Door, Jordan Mintzer in The Hollywood Reporter, Keith Uhlich in Time Out New York, Peter Labuza in The Film Stage and Ben Kenigsberg in RogerEbert.com.
