SAVING MR. BANKS, FOXCATCHER TO OPEN AFI FEST, INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS TO CLOSE

Oscar faves Saving Mr. Banks and Foxcatcher are set to open the 2013 AFI Fest. John Lee Hancock's film will receive its North American premiere as the opening night film on the 7th of November, and Bennett Miller's will receive its world premiere the day after. The Coen brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis will serve as the closing night gala on the 14th.

  1. Where is Saving Mr. Banks getting all the Oscar buzz from? Trailer footage was nothing special, looked too cheesy. Have there been any screenings or something or any early word? Or its just the Disney?

    1. I think some of it's from screenings. But remember Finding Neverland? Similar kind of vibe. And I adore Finding Neverland. So much as I may be sceptical about Saving Mr. Banks' quality right now, I'm not sceptical about its chances. This could be a very popular film with both audiences and industry members.
