I (alone, obvs, got a fucking direct line from Steve) reported that Steven Spielberg was going to direct an adaptation of Chris Kyle's American Sniper. The project's still alive, but not with Spielberg at the helm. Bradley Cooper stays on as producer and star, and Warner Bros. remains in control of the ship, but Spielberg and Dreamworks have dropped out. It's now, once again, unclear what his next project will be.
