CANNES UN CERTAIN REGARD AWARDS ANNOUNCED


The Un Certain Regard jury has spoken and the big winner is Rithy Panh's Khmer Rouge animation has taken the top prize. Thomas Vinterberg headed the jury. Here are the full results:

  1. Future awards are such a blowout. More so than the first feature awards. Any award at Cannes or any event with such eyes is great but to say the Prize of the future doesn't credit the film/filmmaker well. A special recognition or Breakthrough film award or Upcoming filmmaker, would bode well in my opinion but using 'future' in the award just distracting.
