A small, hardly inspiring, but somewhat refreshing slate from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts. Other than a Best Director nomination for The Sessions' Ben Lewin, and a Best Actress nomination for one of their own, Nicole Kidman (most warranted), there's not much to discuss here other than the expectedness of these nominees. All we know on the awards date is that it will be some time in late January.

    5. Tarantino
Going on a limb over Tarantino.
Russell is the closest contendor and cud easily snag the 5th spot.
Hooper and Anderson(s) shudnt b surprising.
    Haneke seems a long shot.

The Impossible scores huge 12 GOYA nods.
Surprisng is that their perennial favourite homeboy Javier Bardem is missing in the BSA category.
